Jordan seeks to establish real partnership with Syrian companies, says Al-Kabariti

DAMASCUS, Jan.4, (ST)- Jordan is looking forward to establishing a real partnership with Syrian companies with the aim of serving the  interests of the Jordanian and Syrian peoples and transporting the products of this partnership to the world,  the Chairman of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce Na’el Al-Kabariti declared on Tuesday. 
 
Al-Kabariti’s remarks came during a press conference held after opening the Jordanian Trade and Services Exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in cooperation with the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Al-Jameel Foundation for the organization of international exhibitions and conferences on the fairground in Damascus. 
 
He referred to the importance of enhancing and developing the historic relations between his country and Syria in all fields. 
 
For his part, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer Khalil said that the exhibition is the first of its kind and it is an opportunity for holding meetings between Syrian and Jordanian businessmen and showing the Jordanian products and services that could be invested in Syria in the coming stage. 
 
The minister asserted that the Syrian-Jordanian economic relations have been enhanced after the reopening of Nasib-Jaber crossing border as the value of trade exchange increased. 
 
Khalil in addition underscored the need to increase investment cooperation between Syria and Jordan. 
 
The Jordanian Trade and Services Exhibition kicked off today with the participation of 60 companies in the fields of services, commercial sectors, hospitals, universities and logistics services, in addition to 135 Jordanian businessmen and economists.
