The Jordanian and Egyptian foreign ministries have condemned the latest Israeli aggression on various areas in Syria.
In separate statements on Thursday, the two ministries considered the aggression a flagrant violation of international law, a blatant infringement of Syria’s sovereignty and unity, and a dangerous escalation of further conflict and tension in the region.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said “Egypt calls on international actors to assume their responsibilities regarding the repeated Israeli violations, compel Israel to end its occupation of Syrian territory, and respect the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.”
Meanwhile, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sufian al-Qudah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full support and solidarity with Syria and its security, stability, and sovereignty.
He emphasized the need for Israel to abide by the rules of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, which require respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their affairs.
