Jordanian Parliamentarians stress the need to strengthen parliamentary relations with Syria

Members of the Jordanian-Syrian Parliamentary Fraternity Committee in the Jordanian Parliament stressed the importance of strengthening the parliamentary cooperation between Syria and Jordan, in various aspects and issues of common concern.

During the committee’s meeting with Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Amman, Issam Niyal, on Monday, at the headquarters of the House of Representatives,  the Jordanian deputes stressed the importance of Syria’s pivotal and strategic role in the region, pointing out that Syria’s return to play its role in the Arab League serves the entire region and its issues.

Head of the Lower House Jordanian-Syrian Brotherhood Committee, MP Khaled Abu Hassan, called for developing relations between his country and Syria, and unifying efforts to overcome all challenges facing stability and security of the two countries, pointing out that Syria is the beating heart of the Arab world, and its return to the Arab League reflects positively on the entire region.

Representatives Bilal Al-Momani, Mayada Shreim, Ahmed Al-Sarahneh, Amal Al-Shaqran and Fawaz Al-Zoubi also noted the depth of the Jordanian Syrian fraternal relations and the strong social ties that unite the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, Ambassador Niall stressed the importance of mutual parliamentary visits, stressing the need to strengthen and develop prospects for joint parliamentary coordination that contributes to achieving the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
