Job Opportunity gathering kicks off in Damascus

Damascus (ST): Job Opportunity Gathering kicked off today at Caesar Palace in Damascus with the participation of 25 economic companies from the private sector. Organized by the International Fairs Company in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs,  the gathering ensures more than 250 job opportunities. The application of “My Job”, designed by the Madarat company in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, will be launched during the event to enable youth to get acquainted with the available job opportunities and  training programs through their mobile phones.

 

Director of  the Job Market at the Ministry said that the gathering aims to making direct links between the owners of companies and factories and job seekers. It  also ensures an opportunity to study the requirements of the market and design training programs that meet these requirements, adding that the priority of employment will be given to martyrs’ families and the wounded members of the Syrian Arab army. 

Khaled Batoushi from the International Fairs Company said that the company will hold the gathering annually, because it constitutes a platform for employment and a direct connection between job seekers and the companies that need labor force.
