Jgheili Excels in Turkey

TURKEY,(ST)-Outstanding weightlifter Ahd Jgheili has accomplished a remarkable achievement as he managed to take the silver medal in the 17th Mediterranean Games (105kg snatch contest),currently being held in Turkey.

Jgheili is dubbed as the best athlete  the Syrian weightlifting  ever produced.

Jgheili is a five-time winner of the Asia Weightlifting Championship .He took two gold in the Mediterranean Games which was hosted by Italy in 2009.Jgheili is the Arab Champion since 2002 and ranked sixth internationally according to the last ranking issued by the International Weightlifting Federation.
