JCI Damascus reviews its most important projects and achievements in 2022

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Damascus on Friday held its annual celebration at the Dama Rose Hotel that included a review of the chamber’s most distinguished projects and activities during 2022.

The celebration also included honoring the sponsors and the partners who played an essential role in reactivating the principle of partnerships to achieve the goals.

The Ministry of Tourism has been a permanent supporter of all the projects that help individuals in society have a positive effect and enable them to turn their love to their homeland into pioneering projects, Director of Tourism in Damascus Countryside Wael Kayali told SANA, pointing out that the Syrian youth are the hope for a better future.

The ministry seeks to integrate the youth’s creative spirit with the expertise and skills they gain through the JCI, he added.

Shadi Al-Azmeh, the local Chairman of the Board of JCI Damascus for 2022 said that every year, JCI Damascus carries out several leading and effective projects within four domains, namely business and entrepreneurship, individual development, international cooperation and community action, with the aim of leaving a positive impact in society and creating inspiring opportunities and experiences for young people.

He pointed out that the chamber’s projects come within the framework of its strategic vision for this year and they contribute to perpetuating the principle of effective partnership among all sectors and lay the base for more businesses, successes and important projects.

Khanoum Marani, Secretary of the JCI Damascus, clarified that the celebration culminates the efforts of more than 200 volunteers during 350 days of fruitful work. It highlights the value and expertise provided by the chamber, as a business leader, to individuals to make a positive change in society.

JCI is a global non-profit organization for young active people between 18 and 40 years of age. It consists of 5,000 chambers in more than 100 countries around the world.
