The ‘Jasmine Veins’ Organization has honored 200 families of the Syrian Arab army’s martyrs on the occasion Of the Prophet Mohammad’s birthday and Christmas Day in al-Sharq club in Damascus.
Honoring martyrs’ families is an appreciation for sacrifices offered by their sons to protect the dignity of the homeland, Social Affairs Minister Rema Qadri told reporters on Sunday during the ceremony held in the club.
She underlined the need for cooperation between all community spectrums to honour martyrs’ families.
On her part, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the ‘Jasmine Vein’ Organization Sawsan Ali said that martyrs’ families, especially kids, deserve to bring joy to their life.
Joy, hope and optimism are the main targets that the Schools of martyrs’ sons and daughters is seeking to achieve for them, according to the Director of the Schools Shahera Fallouh, who called on the civil society to go ahead with supporting martyrs’ families.
On December 20, Damascus University honored several outstanding students from the martyrs’ sons and daughters.
Scores of ceremonies have been held over the past years to honor martyrs’ families in all provinces.
