“Jareeh Al-Watan” Games kicks off today in Lattakia with the participation of 100 wounded personnel

Damascus (ST)_The Wounded of the Homeland ” Jareeh Al-Watan”  Sports Games start today, with the participation of about 100  disabled people in various sports, in  Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia and will last for five days with Arab and international participation.
 
The Wounded of the  Homeland Project explained in a news release on its official Facebook page that the wounded participants from the Syrian Arab Army, the Internal Security Forces and the allied forces will compete in swimming, table tennis, basketball, badminton, athletics and physical strength games, along with participants from the Russian Federation and Iraq.
 
It revealed that the wounded participants in the course underwent qualitative training for a month and a half under the supervision of specialized coaches from the General Sports Federation to develop their skills and motivate their unlimited capabilities to compete in competitions away from everything that hinders their ambitions. 
 
The project aims from this course to enhance the physical, sensory and motor ability of the wounded, which includes medical care, including physiotherapy, providing medicines and performing surgical operations on the basis that sports are life and treatment as well.
