The Syria Reconstruction Trust Fund (SRTF) announced a new contribution of 3 million euros from Japan, marking the ninth contribution since the fund’s establishment.
This increases Japan’s total contributions to the fund to 56.36 million euros, while the total contributions from all 12 donors amount to approximately 372.73 million euros.
Acting Charge d’Affaires and Special Coordinator for Syria at the Japanese Embassy, Akihiro Tsuji, expressed his appreciation for the fund’s work.
He said : “We are proud to continue supporting the SRTF, reaffirming Japan’s commitment to providing essential assistance to the Syrian people.”
He pointed out that “This contribution reflects our confidence in the positive impact of the fund’s work and comes at a pivotal moment as Syria enters a new phase of recovery.”
