Jaish first in NWC
DAMASCUS,(ST)-The U-18 and men’s National Weightlifting Championships have concluded its activities at the weightlifting hall at the Faiha Sports Complex in Damascus.
Scores of weightlifters from several provinces plus Jaish club took part in the two-day event.
Results in full-men
56 kilos,Jaber Jassem, Deirez-Zour (80 kg snatch,100 kg clean and jerk,180 total).
62 kilos,Ezz-Eddin Nadreen, Jaish(100 snatch,120 kg clean and jerk, 220 kg total).
69 kilos, Mohammad Hayek, Damascus (101 kg snatch, 133 kg clean and jerk, 234 kg total).
77 kilos, Ali Daye’, Jaish (128 kg snatch, 152 kg clean and jerk, 280 kg total).
85 kilos, Ali Hazaa, Jaish (132 kg snatch, 175 kg clean and jerk, 307 kg total).
94 kilos, Ali Mohammad, Jaish (150 kg snatch, 171 kg clean and jerk, 321 kg total).
105 kilos, Ali Jadeed, Jaish (160 kg snatch, 185 kg clean and jerk, 345 kg total).
Above 105 kilos, Mohammad Ali, Jaish (150 kg snatch, 200 kg clean and jerk, 350 kg total).
Overall standings
Jaish came first with a tally of 218 points. Followed by Damascus team who collected 190 pts.The third place went to Hama with 190 pts.
In the U-18 championship, Hama came first with a tally of 218 points. Followed by Damascus with a tally of 187 pts. Homs finished third with a tally of 179 pts.
