Jafaari : UN Should Shoulder Responsibility in Fighting Terrorism in Syria

NEWYORK,(ST)- “Most terrorist acts carried out in Syria bear the imprints  of the  Salafi  and Wahhabi jihadist ideology, known as  al Qaeda and its  attitude  of killing and chopping of bodies , killing  entire families  on the ground of  jurisprudence of extremist religious and opinions sectarian and confessional bloody issued by provocative sides , residents in certain  Gulf states “, said Syria ‘s permanent representative to the UN Dr. Bashar al-Jafaari  in a statement during a public meeting of the UN Security Council on Wednesday  dedicated  to briefings of heads of  sub-committees of the  UN Security Council concerned with combating terrorism .
“Decisions concerning  Syria stated  in the report  of the Human rights council is based on unilateral source  information and formulated in a misleading and  hateful Language unprecedented in the resolutions  of the Human Rights Council against Syria country and people,” he added.
He continued that  “these decisions  only condemn the Syrian government and did  not call for  the cessation of violence nor to sit at the  table of national dialogue to resolve the crisis, based on  the Geneva statement, the UN  six point plan and  al-Ibrahimi mission, rather  ignore the deterioration of the  economic and humanitarian conditions in Syria, resulting from  tough economic measures  imposed  by the European Union, the US and certain Arab countries against the  Syrian people .”
He  called on President of the Human Rights Council to demand  countries involved  in harboring, arming, and financing the  terrorist groups to stop  what they are doing against the Syrian people,  stressing that these countries should be held responsible  for terrifying the Syrian citizens  and inciting  them  to leave their homes ,  turning them into refugees and destabilizing the country.
