Jableh First Festival

Yesterday was the beginning of Jableh First Festival which includes art and heritage performances and aims at establishing a regular festival in the city as a tourist attraction in order to shed light on the tourist and historical sites in the city.

On the first day of the festival, the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with Lattakia province organized a variety of singing performances in Arabic and Russian. These performances and songs tell about life under the war in Syria and how the Syrians are returning to rebuild their homeland.

Ugarit art band held a folkloric dance performance, titled: “The Story of Victory”, which conveyed in more than 40 minutes the heritage of all provinces with songs dedicated to each one as a message of peace from Syria to the world.

The festival succeeded in attracting a large crowd to President Bashar al-Assad Square in Jableh.

In fact, this Festival is a result of joint work between different sectors with the aim of creating an encouraging environment and it is a continuation of the normalization movement which is taking place in Syria.
