Jaafari: Humanitarian Crisis in Syria is Made by Foreign Political Conspiracy Targeting Society and the Economy
NEWYORK,(ST)_ Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN , Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that the humanitarian crisis experienced by Syria was not made by natural disasters nor climate change, but by blatant external political conspiracy , targeting the Syrian economy and society, using Satanic tools for the dissemination of the ugliest manifestations of international terrorism .
Terrorist groups recruited by intelligence services and intervention of known states to spread terrorism and hijack humanitarian aid convoys
Jaafari said in a speech yesterday during the official meeting held by the UN General Assembly under the item No. 70 , entitled “Strengthening the UN coordination on humanitarian and disaster relief assistance in disaster situations , including special economic assistance that :” the talk about the coordination of humanitarian assistance in Syria cannot be straightened while ignoring the vandal role of the armed terrorist groups which are brought by the intelligence services of known countries into Syria across the borders of neighboring countries to spread terror and violence and hijack national humanitarian convoys or those provided by international organizations and ” OCHA ” and hinder their access to the needy and destroy means of livelihood of the Syrian citizens , including the infrastructure and agricultural crops ,food and energy sources, hospitals , schools, houses of worship and transportation network .
Regimes of Saudi Arabia , Qatar and Turkey provide great support for armed groups
Jaafari added that these armed groups were not able to play this role , without the great support provided by certain UN member states which boast openly of providing this terrorist sabotage support , and in particular regimes in Saudi Arabia , Qatar and Turkey .
Jaafari added that the Takfiri terrorist groups funded by the Gulf states, slaughtered hundreds of Syrians in the Syrian city of Adra , which lies between Damascus and Homs, adding that the same terrorists slaughtered hundreds of other Syrians in Deir Atieh, Maloula and Qara since the beginning of the week.
He stressed that it is shameful and scandalous that regimes of those countries to continue funding and support for this organized and sectarian nature terrorism, which kills people on the basis of their religion, noting that all that is happening in the time when all UN Member States know that the United Nations had condemned genocide of any kind in dozens of its relevant resolutions .
Jaafari questioned is it possible for one of those involved in the UN humanitarian matters to explain how can the regimes in Saudi Arabia , Qatar and Turkey claim that they are hurting over the humanitarian situation of the Syrians while they themselves beget to Syria Takfiri terrorists from Saudi Arabia, Yemen , Libya, Tunisia , Egypt, Turkey , Chechnya, USA Australia , Canada, Belgium , Britain , the Netherlands and France to terrorize the Syrians people by their disgusting crimes .
Saudi regime did not allow the Syrians to perform Hajj rites, for the first time since the beginning of Islam
The Syrian representative to the UN pointed to an article published by the British newspaper “The Independent” on December 8th under the title ” Our friends the Saudis are financing the mass killings in the Middle East ” wondering .. Is it possible for anyone to explain to us how the Saudi regime claim care to help the Syrian people at the time it did not allow any Syrian citizen since the beginning of the crisis to enter the Saudi territory , even as a refugee , nor allowing the Syrians to perform Hajj this year, for the first time since the beginning of Islam as a divine religion since 1434 years.
He stressed there can be no talk about humanitarian needs in Syria, without mentioning what the Syrian government is exposed to of political ,economic and enormous media pressures , especially the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States , the EU member states, and Arab League on the Syrian people since the start of the crisis.
He explained that those coercive measures continue to create obstacles and difficulties for the government in the provision of basic requirements , especially in the sectors of health , electricity and bank credits for the supply of medicine and medical equipment and the consequent technical , administrative financial difficulties and challenges contributed to the deterioration of the health situation and the spread of some diseases transmitted to Syria from abroad, such as polio, in order to push the Syrians to seek refuge in neighboring countries to create additional pressures on the government and its resources and then smear the Syrian government that it is not doing enough to help the people in the humanitarian field in an attempt to politicize humanitarian issues and bring in foreign intervention ,which is exactly what is happening today.
Much of the humanitarian crisis in Syria is fabricated for political reasons for exerting pressure on the Syrian government
al-Jaafari continued that a large portion of the humanitarian crisis in Syria is fabricated for political reasons with the purpose of exerting pressure on the Syrian government and for the demonization of its image at the world public opinion .
Jaafari added that the Syrian government is working continuously to develop and update mechanisms for cooperation and coordination with (OCHA ) in order to facilitate the procedures to provide humanitarian assistance in cooperation with international organizations and within the framework of Humanitarian Response Plan and in order to deal effectively and positively with the humanitarian consequences of the current events .
Jaafari said : The Syrian government agreed to open three additional UN branch offices, bringing the number of UN main centers to 6 covering various regions in Syria, and allowed humanitarian access directly through official key crossings with Lebanon , Jordan and Iraq, and as a direct result of this procedure a UN cargo planes airlift loaded with food and other humanitarian aid was opened through Iraq to al-Hasakah province was opened , after the armed terrorist groups had prevented the delivery of any humanitarian aid to the province by land during the past two months .
He pointed out that the Syrian government is currently , in collaboration with the UN, working to develop a plan to respond to the humanitarian needs for year 2014 which is supposed to be launched in Geneva soon.
Governments that feed terrorism target undermining success chances of Geneva Conference 2
He explained that the success of the Syrian government , the UN and international organizations working in the humanitarian field also depends on neutralizing the outside scandalous interference factors in internal Syrian affairs, particularly by governments that feed terrorism with the aim of undermining the chances of convening and success of the Geneva Conference 2 .
He went on that governments involved in the shedding of the Syrian blood can not claim to be acting as a firefighter and humanitarian relief, at a time when they are fabricating fire and funding murders and terrorism in Syria and the imposition of the blockade to starve the Syrian people .
Solving humanitarian crisis in Syria is through halting terrorism , and strict adherence to the principles of humanitarian assistance
Jaafari stressed that solving the humanitarian crisis in Syria is not through political prejudice, nor by vetoing the Syrian government, which is doing a great job and immense efforts to help its people , but by stopping terrorism financing, and strict adherence to the fair principles of humanitarian assistance , especially decision 46/ 182 and through the hard work of donor countries and agencies to provide what they had promised of unconditional aid and by working to uplift the oppressive unilateral economic measures.
