Jaafari : Elections in any Country is an Internal Issue that no one is Entitled to Interfere in

NEWYORK,(ST)_ Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar Jaafari, stressed that the Syrian government has always been keen to fight terrorism, everywhere, with the mission to protect the Syrian people, noting threat posed by terrorist groups in Syria, infiltrated through its borders with neighboring countries.

Jaafari added at a news conference yesterday after Lakhdar Brahimi, the UN envoy to Syria, briefed the Security Council about the two rounds of Geneva talks, that finally  delegates at the UN Security Council admitted the existence of terrorism in Syria and the facts on the ground after being ignored deliberately because their governments have played a role a key role in inciting terrorism in Syria.

al-Jaafari, noted that Syrian government insisted on fighting terrorism since the beginning, pointing out that thousands of innocent Syrians innocent people were killed because of the so-called cross-border terrorism by terrorists who came from 83 countries and named themselves ” jihadists.”

He added that the Syrian government is compatible and consistent with the UN Security Council resolutions on counter-terrorism, stressing that everyone is required to adhere the UN Security Council resolutions on counter-terrorism.

Replying a question about the UN the Western media black out  of the terrorist attack against convoy of stock transfer chemical in Latakia port Jaafari regretted ignoring the incident though the Syrian delegation drew the attention of the UN Security Council to the blackout, but no statement was issued by the UNSC Secretariat on that.

 

The Syrian people and government will not allow interference in the election

He stressed that the Syrian people and government will not allow interfere in the elections because the elections will be conducted in accordance with the Constitution, nor to create a constitutional vacuum that gives a justification for governments involved in shedding the Syrian blood to continue their crimes unpunished.

“We submitted  500 messages to the UN with names and dates relating to the terrorists who committed terrorist operations against the Syrian people at the Saudi, Qatari and Turkish support,” Jaafari emphasized, pointing the Israeli involvement in facilitating the movement of terrorists in the Golan Heights, and the visit of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to these terrorists in hospital.
