Jaafari : Decisions Regarding Human Rights in Syria, Proposed by Wahhabi Terrorism Sponsor States

NEWYORK, (ST) _ Syria Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar Jaafari expressed Syria regret for  the international community ignorance of irrefutable facts in Syria and their blind insistence to politicized, selective and unilateral UN resolution, provided annually, to the competent committees under the cover of the so-called “promotion and protection of the Syrian human rights.”

In a speech at the third meeting of the UNGA Committee devoted to a proposed Saudi-Qatari draft resolution about human rights in Syria  Jaafari pointed out that since four years terrorism has been beating Syria and its people under an almost scandalous silence and unlimited support for mercenary terrorists engaged in the worst forms of killings and violations of human rights against the Syrians , adding that Syria tirelessly has been keeping the UN member states informed about acts of killing, destruction of the Syrian infrastructure, recruitment of children raping women, assaulting religious places and the kidnapping and killing of Muslim and Christian men of religion alike.

Jaafari added that Syria has repeatedly warned against the consequences of the spread of this takfiri terrorism in the region and the world, describing the decisions taken by the international community concerning the status of human rights in Syria as detrimental to the Syrian human rights and distort the image of the Syrians, besides these resolutions are proposed by the Saudi-Qatari sponsored Takfiri Wahhabi terrorism i in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and elsewhere.

Jaafari expressed Syria’s confidence in that all is aware that such frequent resolutions have proven failure to address reasons behind the crisis in Syria because its providers are mainly part of the crisis and are not part of the solution, stressing that the only objective of the Saudi-Qatari draft resolution, is defamation of the Syrian government and ignoring all constructive and tremendous efforts taken since the beginning of the crisis to fight terrorism, which has been fueled by the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, France, Israel, Jordan and others. “

The Syrian delegate to the UN pointed out that the Syrian delegation circulated two official notes on the UNSC Member States on November 10 and October 23, 2014 explaining  fallacies and contradictions contained in the proposed draft resolution.

“We would like here to highlight some of the key issues, that we believe should be taken into consideration when verifying the Saudi-Qatari proposed resolution.” Jaafari underscored.
