Italian Foreign Minister calls for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza

Roma, (ST) – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Wednesday called for a ceasefire in Gaza Strip. He said that the continuation of the war waged by “Israel” will cause more Palestinian civilian casualties.

In an interview with the Italian daily newspaper La Stampa, Tajani said: A ceasefire is necessary in Gaza Strip. He added that “Israel” should stop these military operations that have greatly affected the Palestinian population.

Tajani had previously affirmed that the Israeli aggression resulted in a huge number of Palestinian casualties, and therefore it is necessary to reach a permanent ceasefire at the political-diplomatic level to ease regional tensions as well.
