Italian delegation condemns foreign-backed terror war on Syria

Last Thursday, a delegation representing the Syrian community in Italy and the EU Commission for defending Syria as well as the ‘Solidale’ Organization visited Homs province and condemned the foreign-backed terror aggression on Syria.

The visit was madeat the request of the EU commission , which was formed five years ago in more than 20 countries to stand by the Syria people in confronting terrorism, Head of the Syrian community in Italy Dr. Jamal Abo abbas said during a meeting with the head of the Executive Bureau in Homs Governorate Eng. Dommar al-Ali.

The meeting focused on areas affected by terrorism and the plan of rebuilding these areas, according to the official news agency (SANA).

Head of the European Solidarity Front for Syria Govani Viola, who was among the delegation’s members, denounced the foreign-backed terror aggression on Syria and praised the Syrian people’s steadfastness in confronting the conspiracies hatched by Gulf States the U.S. and Turkey.

‘Syria will never kneel’

The delegation, composed of engineers, physicians, businessmen, journalists and Italian persons, visited several historical sites in Homs province and held talks with Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi and the Grand Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Ahmad Badereddin Hasson.

The Mufti underscored the essential role of the Syrian expatriates in the reconstruction process, calling on the members of the delegation to convey the true image of what is happening in Syria.

A solidarity stand with Syria and walkout will be staged on March 12, 2016 in The Hague under the slogan ‘Syria will never kneel’, according the European Solidarity Front’s facebook.

Humanitarian aid

On January 27, the Syrian community in Italy in cooperation with the Italian non-profit organization SOLIDALE [also known as SOLID] and the European Solidarity Front for Syria sent a humanitarian aid to the Syrian people living under the terrorism war waged against Syria.

The aid included relief and food stuffs, medicines and medical equipment and wheelchairs and crutches for the injured persons.

The community’s members denounced the continued western blockade imposed on the Syrian people affecting their access to basic needs.
