The Israeli occupation authorities on Saturday seized around 200 dununms of Palestinian land in the West Bank city of Ariha “Jericho”,

Head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority Moayad Shaaban told WAFA News Agency that the occupation forces seized 193 dunums of Palestinian lands in Al-Ouja village, northeast of Ariha with the aim of increasing settlement building activities.

According to Shaaban, since 2014, the occupation authorities have seized more than 2100 dunums of the village’s lands for implementing their colonialist settlement schemes and link the settlements to a network of roads and tunnels to serve the settlers.

On Friday, the occupation announced plans to establish 7157 settlement units to expand 37 settlements built in separate parts of the West Bank. The announcement came two days after the occupation had announced a plan to establish 1000 settlement units to expand 6 settlements within a huge settlement complex built south of the city of Bethlehem.
