Today, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a school in Ein Samia village in Kafr Malik plain, east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
General supervisor of Al-Baydar human rights organization, Hassan Malihat, told WAFA news agency: The occupation forces stormed the village with a number of bulldozers and demolished the school that served a number of villages, stressing that the demolition process is a true embodiment of the occupation’s terrorism against the Palestinian people, and a threat to the right to safe and stable education. This practice requires urgent intervention from all human rights and international institutions to support the Palestinian villages in their open war with the occupation.
For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Education condemned the occupation’s demolition of the school, noting that this hostile step comes with the approaching start of the new academic year, which means depriving students in several villages from obtaining their right to education.
The ministry indicated that this crime is a flagrant violation of international laws and human rights conventions, including international resolutions that protect the right to education, calling on the international community to stop the aggressive occupation practices and work to ensure the protection of the Palestinians’ rights to access safe and quality education.
