Islamic Jihad Movement stresses the continuity of the Palestinian resistance

Damascus, (ST) – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement has affirmed that it will continue to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation jails and to defend them because they represent a great advanced front for the Palestinian people in the confrontation of the brutality of the Zionist enemy.

The movement stated in a statement on the occasion of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day that the battle waged by the prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist occupation embodies the spirit of defiance, the refusal to submit and surrender to a terrorist occupation that practices oppression and violations to silence the voice of the Palestinian resistance that will continue to fight against the occupation in Palestine by all means.

The movement called on the Palestinian people and the free people of the nation to mobilize all efforts for supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners. It also called for as wide participation as possible in the activities  that aim at supporting the prisoners, activating their cause and keeping it alive in all forums and events.

On the 17th of April, the Palestinians commemorate the Prisoner’s Day, which was approved by the National Council in 1974, as a national day of loyalty to the prisoners who are in the detention centers of the Israeli occupation .
