Islamic- Christian Association condemns settlers’ storming into a church and a Monastery in Haifa

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Islamic- Christian Association for the Support of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Sanctities condemned the Israeli settlers’ storming into the Church and Monastery of Mar Elias in the city of Haifa in the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Association indicated that the settlers’ storming into the church and the monastery is an escalation and a serious violation of Christian sanctities.

“It is an aggressive approach that falls within the framework of the occupation’s plans to Judaize these sanctities”, it added.

The Association warned of the dangers of repeating these attempts aimed at obliterating and undermining the Palestinian presence, and targeting Islamic and Christian sanctities alike. It called on European countries and the World Council of Churches to shoulder their responsibilities in stopping the violations and crimes of the occupation.
