Abuja, (ST) – ISIS terrorists have taken hundreds of civilians as hostages in north east Nigeria.
France-Press Agency quoted a local source in the city of Papakura Colo as saying, “terrorists from (ISIS) took control of Cocoa city last night and took hundreds of civilians ashostages.”
Another security source confirmed that the attack had occurred and that warplanes had been brought in from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to tackle the situation.
Cocoa is located near the city of Baga on the shores of Lake Chad in an area controlled by the terrorist organization (ISIS) in West Africa, which split from the Boko Haram, the terrorist group in 2016, where it launches attacks targeting in particular the Nigerian army, causing killing large numbers of soldiers.
