ISIS officials killed, several positions, heavy vehicles and oil tankers destroyed in army operations

Provinces – The army’s military operations against the foreign-backed terrorist organizations continued on Saturday where the Syrian warplanes targeted their positions, hideouts and vehicles in many areas across the country, SANA reported.

Homs

The Syrian Air Force launched intensive strikes against gatherings of ISIS terrorists and their movements in the vicinity of al-Shaer oil field and in the areas east and southeast of Palmyra city in the countryside of Homs.

 

A military source confirmed that the strikes hit the targets, destroying several positions and a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with machineguns.

In the same context, a field source said that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed in army operations in the surroundings of al-Abyad Mountain in the eastern countryside of Homs, noting that the Kuwaiti terrorist Aref al-Sweilem, an official within ISIS, was identified among the dead along with Marwan Abu Daghmash, the so-called military leader of al-Sukhna area.

Two tanks, a rocket launcher, five SUV cars equipped with machineguns and two oil tankers were destroyed in the operations, according to the source.

Deir Ezzor

The Air Force carried out on Saturday sorties against ISIS terrorists’ dens in Muhassan city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.

The military source said many terrorists were killed, others injured and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the sorties.
