ISIS burns historic church in western Hassaka countryside

HASSAKA,(ST)_ Terrorists affiliated to the ISIS carried out an armed attack against several towns in in the western countryside of Hassaka, local sources said yesterday.

The sources told the official news agency (SANA) that ISIS terrorists attacked Tal Hermez, Tal Shamiram, Tal Romman, Tal Nasri, al-Aghebesh, Toma Yalda and al-Hawwoz  towns in the western countryside of Hassaka and perpetrated massacres against the people of the towns.  

Scores of people were killed and hundreds were displaced during the attack, the sources confirmed, adding that the attackers burned the Tal Hermez historic church and dozens of homes.

“The ISIS attacks on towns surrounding Tal Tamr area, which lies near Raas al-Ein city, aim to open port towards the Turkish border to facilitate the flow of weapons and mercenaries into Syria,” the sources clarified.

US-led alliance supports ISIS

They indicated that the US-led aircrafts were flying over the towns during the ISIS attack and they did not target them.

Media and intelligence reports confirm that the US-led aircrafts drop boxes of weapons and munitions  in the ISIS-held areas.

On January 22, ISIS terrorists perpetrated a crime against people of Tal Mghas and Em Raqbeh towns in the same province [Hassaka].

later on, it was reported that ISIS terrorists abducted 56 persons from Tal Hermez and Tal Shamiram.
