ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra suffer more casualties and material losses in several provinces

 

Provinces – ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations are losing more members and equipment, including heavy weaponry and vehicles, in continued army operations targeting these organizations’ positions in various areas, SANA reported.

Homs

The Syrian army’s air force destroyed in airstrikes two armored and other vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of Jazal and al-Shaer oil fields in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province, leaving a number of them killed and others injured, according to a military source.

 Dara/Sweida

In southern Syria, army units carried out intensive operations in which they launched precise strikes against gatherings and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorists in Daraa province and in the northeastern countryside of the neighboring Sweida province.

The military source said that an army unit left 15 of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists dead or injured to the east of al-Nuaima town in the eastern countryside of the province.

Another army unit carried out a precise operation against fortifications of terrorist organizations in Daraa al-Balad area, killing a number of their members and destroying a mortar launcher.

To the northeast of Sweida city, an army unit targeted a gathering of ISIS terrorists to the south of Khirbet Saad, destroying two of their cars and leaving a number of them dead and others injured.

Deir Ezzor

A number of ISIS terrorists were killed as their dens were destroyed in the vicinity of the Panorama area, al-Tharda Mountain and al-Mayadeen road in the northeastern Deir Ezzor province.

A field source said that an army unit clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS after they infiltrated into the vicinity of al-Mazare’ (farms) to the southeast of Panorama area on the southwestern outskirts of Deir Ezzor city.

20 of the terrorists were killed in the clashes and the remaining ones fled the area, according to the source.

ISIS terrorists operating in al-Tharda Mountain and on al-Mayadeen road also suffered heavy losses as their gatherings were hit by army units.

Jamal Othman, a security commander within ISIS, was killed in the army operations, along with the terrorists Obeid al-Rarwis, Tareq Khalaf al-Abdallah, Khattab Mahmoud al-Ahmad al-Barges and Walid Hassan al-Alawan, the source confirmed.
