ISIL Excuse for US, Zionist Entity’s Destructive Agenda in Middle East: Analyst

An American author and Islamic studies expert says the ISIL terrorist group is an excuse for the US and Israel to further their destructive agenda across the Mideast region, Press TV reported yesterday.

Dr. Kevin Barrett told Press TV from Madison that the ISIL and other Takfiri terrorist groups were “providing an excuse for Zionism and imperialism to keep ravaging and destroying Middle East in the… future.

”    The analyst said that the American “neocons and warmongers” have always been seeking such pretexts to maintain their military presence in the troubled region “forever.”

Commenting on the motives behind the creation of the ISIL, Barrett said that American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), British MI6 and Israeli Mossad spy agency created the ISIL in order to demonize Muslims.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the expert noted that the ISIL would have been defeated if Washington had fulfilled its promises of delivering advanced warplanes and weapons to the Iraqi military.

Senior Iraqi officials have criticized Washington for delaying the delivery of US F-16 jets previously purchased by Baghdad.

ISIL fighters have terrorized and killed people of all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians, in Iraq and Syria.

A US-led coalition is striking ISIL positions in Iraq and Syria, but there is skepticism on both sides of the border about the real objective of the airstrikes.
