Israeli settlers seize areas of land in the northern Jordan valley…uproot trees in Salfit in the West Bank

Israeli settlers on Monday seized areas of land in the northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank.

WAFA News Agency reported that the settlers stormed into the village of Kherbet Oum Al-Jamal site in the Jordan valley and seized areas of lands, built tents and brought their livestock near the tents of the Palestinians.

Kherbet Oum Al-Jamal village is facing a heinous settlement expansion campaign, as during the past years, most of the houses and facilities in this area were demolished with the aim of displacing the locals who insist on building tents and tin houses to stay in their land, despite all the occupation’s attempt to tighten the noose on them.

On Sunday, Israeli settlers bulldozed lands and uprooted olive trees in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit.

The head of the Yasuf village council, Wael Abu Madi, said on Sunday that colonists, under the protection of the occupation forces, bulldozed approximately six dunams in al-Sarab area located between the villages of Yasuf and Iskaka, and uprooted about 100 olive trees, ranging in age from 50-60 years, in favor of expanding a settlement built on citizens’ lands, on the southern side of the village.

Abu Madi added that the lands that were bulldozed are owned by citizens of the village and the area is about 100 meters away from the citizens’ homes.

It is to be noted that the village of Yasuf is subjected to repeated attacks by settlers, while the occupation forces and settlers continue to close its eastern entrance with an iron gate.

A number of Palestinians injured in Israeli attack on a village, north of Nablus

A number of Palestinians were injured on Monday as the Israeli occupation forces stormed into the village of Madma, south of Nablus city in the West Bank.

Head of the village council Abdullah Zeyadeh told WAFA News Agency that the occupation forces stormed into the village, closed all its entrances, broke into several houses, searched them and fired gas bombs towards the Palestinians, causing suffocation to several of them.

Earlier, the occupation forces detained 7 palestinians, including an injured, in the West Bank.
