Israeli occupation commits a horrific massacre against the displaced and patients at Kamal Adwan Hospital

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Israeli occupation forces committed a new horrific massacre in Gaza Strip, as their bulldozers ran over displaced people and patients and buried them under rubble at the Kamal Adwan Hospital courtyard in an area in Jabalia, north of the Strip.

Videos published on social media showed the effects of the massacre committed by the occupation forces, which led to the destruction of the displaced persons’ tents with bulldozers and the burial of displaced persons and patients alive under its rubble.

The documented scenes also showed body parts and bodies run over by occupation bulldozers in the hospital courtyard.

The occupation forces admitted that they “conducted an operation in the hospital and arrested 90 people there.

Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila called for an international investigation into the occupation’s burying alive people  in the hospital yard and said in a statement: The information and testimonies received from citizens and medical and media teams indicate that the occupation buried alive citizens in the hospital yard, and that some of them were seen alive before they were besieged by the occupation.

Al-Kaila called on the world to take serious action to uncover the circumstances of this crime and not to tolerate or remain silent regarding the information received from the Gaza Strip. She indicated that the occupation forces deliberately took the wounded out of the hospital into the open air in light of the extreme cold and attacked medical personnel, which posed a serious threat to the lives of the wounded and sick.

The Minister of Health indicated that the occupation army destroyed the southern part of the hospital, and that 12 children were still inside incubators without water or food, after the occupation prevented their evacuation.

In turn, the Palestinian resistance confirmed that the occupation forces committed a horrific massacre, which consisted of bulldozing the tents of the displaced in the hospital courtyard, including the wounded and displaced, which caused the death of a number of Palestinians, the number of which is not yet known.

The resistance said in a statement yesterday: The video reports and witness statements from inside the hospital confirm this crime and other terrible crimes committed by the criminal occupation throughout the Gaza Strip, which are premeditated war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The resistance held the international community and the United Nations responsible for these massacres, and the failure to provide the minimum protection for the Palestinian people, leaving them vulnerable to the crimes of this fascist entity that kills hundreds of the Palestinian people daily, without any actual action to stop the bloodshed in Gaza.

For its part, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called for the opening of an independent international investigation into information about the occupation burying wounded and displaced people alive in the Kamal Adwan Hospital courtyard.

The Observatory said that it received testimonies and complaints from medical and media teams confirming that occupation bulldozers buried Palestinians alive in the hospital yard before withdrawing from it, and these bodies could be seen amid piles of sand.

The Monitor announced that its teams continue to document what happened in the hospital. It stressed the need to open an international investigation into the horrific violations the hospital witnessed that targeted patients, displaced people, and medical staff over the past days as part of a comprehensive targeting of hospitals and health services in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October.

The Monitor indicated that the occupation published a picture of four people leaving the hospital carrying four Kalashnikov weapons and tried to portray them as armed. However, the Monitor’s initial investigations showed that one of them was a trained doctor, the other a nurse, and the other two were displaced persons, and that the occupation forced them to carry weapons belonging to police officers that guard the hospital gates.

The Monitor confirmed that it had received testimonies about the death of an elderly person as a result of hunger and thirst inside the hospital, and the death of another after the occupation forces released one of their dogs at him.

“There are also a number of children and patients who died inside the intensive care room as a result of not receiving appropriate health care”, the Monitor added.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor stressed that the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation forces at Kamal Adwan Hospital are an extension of their repeated attacks on medical facilities, crews, and means of transport as part of a systematic policy that they began since the seventh of last October.

“ These atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation forces aim to destroy the health care system in the Gaza Strip, which constitutes a war crime under Rules of international humanitarian law”, the Monitor indicated.
