Israeli and American-made weapons were seized between Daraa and Quneitra governorates 

The competent authorities in Syria’s southern region, in cooperation with the locals there, on Thursday seized large quantities of various light and medium weapons, including American and Israeli-made weapons that were used by terrorist groups in their attacks.

A security source in Daraa said: “After intensive monitoring and follow-up operations, the competent authorities, in cooperation with the people of the city of Jassim in the countryside of Daraa, seized underground warehouses containing large quantities of weapons in the farms surrounding the city of Jassim and near the administrative borders of Quneitra Governorate.”

The source stated that the seized weapons included automatic rifles, military pistols, some of which were equipped with silencers, RPG launchers, PKC and RPK machine guns, snipers, anti-tank shells, armored vehicles, mortar launchers, explosives, different types of rockets and machineguns and bombs.

The source confirmed that efforts are continuing to pursue ISIS terrorist cells, pointing out that one of the terrorist organization’s cells was arrested in the aforementioned area.
