Four civilians were martyred this afternoon and 16 others were injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to medical sources. The casualties were subsequently transported to Al-Awda Hospital in the camp.
Meantime, several civilians were martyred and others injured in Israeli airstrikes on the town of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza.
Elsewhere, a young man was martyred and another injured by Israeli sniper fire near Al-Alam Square, west of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation army continued its aggression on the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City and several other districts within the city. Israeli tanks and military vehicles invaded residential areas, accompanied by airstrikes and shelling targeting civilian homes, resulting in more casualties and injuries.
Medical sources reported dozens of casualties and injuries arriving at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City following a series of Israeli airstrikes on the Shujaiya neighborhood and nearby areas.
The Israeli aggression has forced hundreds of families to evacuate the neighborhood to densely populated areas in Gaza City already overcrowded with displaced persons.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its teams have treated over 30 injured individuals, predominantly children and women, in the Shujaiya neighborhood. Rescue efforts are ongoing around the clock, with difficulties accessing victims trapped under rubble.
Further injuries were reported from Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks on the Al-Daraj neighborhood in eastern Gaza City and the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in the southeast.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7th last year, the death toll in Gaza has risen to 37,765, mostly comprising children and women. The number of injuries has climbed to 86,429, with thousands still trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
