IRGC Commander: Syria’s Steadfastness against Terrorism Foiled Enemies’ Plans to Undermine Resistance Front

TEHRAN, (ST)-Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari has stressed that Syria’s steadfastness and its resistance against the terrorist organizations have foiled enemies’ scheme to undermine the resistance front.

Jafari made the remarks during “Gaza, the Symbol of Resistance” forum held in Tehran on Wednesday.

He said “the enemies hatched conspiracies against Syria and brought Deash, al-Nousra Front and other terrorist groups to destroy Syria and undermine its role in the region, because President Bashar Al-Assad never bargained on national rights and resistance.”

He added that the West didn’t bring its armies to Syria to avoid defeat, but it brought Daesh and other terrorist groups to fight and undermine resistance as to serve the interest of the Zionist entity.

Maj. Gen. Jafari stressed that resistance is the only way to confront conspiracies, pointing out that “resistance has led to the complete collapse of the Zionist occupation army.”

Jafari hailed the resistance of the people in Syria, Iraq and the region in the face of takfiri terrorism.
