IRGC Commander says the American forces should immediately leave the region

TEHRAN, (ST)- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, has stressed that all the US attempts to weaken Iran are doomed to failure, pointing out that the Americans should immediately leave the region. He noted that the US presence in the region would lessen US power and negatively affect the countries of this region.

Salami said that the IRGC missile attack on the US airbase Ain al-Asad in Iraq has been the beginning of the Iranian revenge for the assassination of General Soleimani, the head of Iran’s IRGC’s Quds Force and deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis near Baghdad airport.
