Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani has said that Iran reserves its legitimate and inherent right to take all necessary measures to respond to any threat or attack by the Israeli entity.
In a letter to President of the Security Council of the United Nations Yamazaki Kazuyuki and Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres on Thursday, Iravani categorically rejected the accusations against Iran raised by the representative of the Israeli entity to the United Nations, noting that the Foreign Minister of the Israeli entity resorted to lies, spread misinformation, and leveled unfounded allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iravani strongly warned against any military adventure or subversive activities by the Israeli entity in the region, noting that Iran reserves its legitimate and inherent right, based on international laws and the United Nations Charter, to take all necessary measures to respond to any threat or action against the country’s security and national interests.
He also reiterated the inherent right of the Syria and Lebanon, under international law, to take the necessary measures in the face of any threat, attack or aggressive actions by the Israeli entity against the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of their territories.
