Iravani calls on the international community to condemn Zionist terrorist acts that destabilize the region

New York, (ST) – Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani called on the Security Council and the international community to condemn the Zionist terrorist acts against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and West Bank because they constitute a threat to regional and global peace and security.

In a letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the French Ambassador to the UN, Iravani said: The immediate condemnation and decisive actions by the international community, especially the UN Security Council, in response to Israel’s terrorist acts and destabilizing activities in the region and the ongoing attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, are necessary because these actions constitute a serious threat to regional and global peace and security.

Iravani pointed out that his country resolutely affirms its legitimate rights under international laws and the United Nations Charter to respond decisively to any illegal threats by this entity.

Zionist terrorism poses a threat to peace and security in the region, says Abdullahian

Moreover, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed that Zionist terrorism against Palestine and the neighboring countries poses a real threat to peace and security in the region.

The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Abdullahian as saying: The Zionist terrorist entity’s assassinations of Palestinian resistance figures after months of genocide against the Palestinian people and destruction in Gaza is nothing but evidence of the entity’s bankruptcy in achieving its goals despite direct support from the US government.

Abdullahian pointed out that these evil acts, such as assassinations in other countries, are evidence of the threat posed by the Zionist terrorism to the security of all countries in the region.
