Iraqi Security Media: Missile Shelling of US Forces headquarters in Western and Northern Iraq
On January 8, the Iraqi Security Media Cell announced that the headquarters of the American forces in Iraq were bombarded with 22 missiles.
Stressing that no losses were recorded among the Iraqi forces as a result of those attacks.
“17 rockets landed on Ain Al-Assad Air Force Base near the city of Heet in Anbar and 5 rockets on the city of Erbil. All the rockets fell on the headquarters of the American forces,” Alsumaria News website quoted the Iraqi Security Media Cell as saying.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell said that it had not recorded any losses within the Iraqi forces.
On January 8, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced targeting the Ain Al-Assad Air Force Base in western Iraq, which has American forces with dozens of ballistic missiles, in response to the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and his companions.
