Iraqi Prime Minister, Syrian Ambassador discuss boosting cooperation in various economic sectors

Baghdad (ST): Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani discussed with the Syrian ambassador in Baghdad, Satam Jad’an al-Dandah, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

A statement by the Iraqi prime minister’s office stated that “the meeting focused on discussing bilateral relations and a number of issues of common concern.”

According to the statement, the two sides underlined the importance of moving towards fruitful and constructive bilateral cooperation in various economic sectors, in a way that strengthens the joint ties that unite the two brotherly countries and achieves the interests of their peoples in prosperity and development.

Al-Dandah said in a statement to SANA news correspondent in Baghdad: “The meeting emphasized the depth of the distinguished fraternal and historical relations that unite the two countries, and the keenness to develop them and raise them to a level that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples,” pointing to “the importance of coordination, exchange of visits, and expansion of horizons of cooperation  to meet the challenges facing the two countries.”
