Iraqi Popular Mobilization Relief Units, Aleppo Governorate complete setting up 100 pre-fabricated apartments for earthquake-affected people

The technical workshops of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Relief Units in cooperation with the Aleppo Governorate completed setting up 100 prefabricated residential apartments in the Jibreen area, east of Aleppo.

“This project comes within the governorate’s medium-term plan to respond to the repercussions of the earthquake and to shelter the earthquake-affected people” a member of the concerned executive office at the Aleppo Governorate Council, Eng. Muhammad Fayyad, said in a statement to SANA reporter

He pointed out that the governorate started preparing the infrastructure including electricity and water.

In turn, the coordinator of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Relief Initiative, Ghaleb Al-Husseini, explained that the project includes 500 apartments of which 100 apartments have been prepared. These apartments will be equipped with the necessary home furnishings for family life, with a capacity of 6 to 8 people

Al-Husseini indicated that this project comes within the initiatives of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces to help the earthquake-affected Syrian people and provide them with adequate housing, as the first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed within a period of two months, and it includes 300 apartments.
