Iraqi PM demands that the US pulls out of Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi demanded from the US today to put mechanisms to implement the Iraqi House of Representatives’ decision that requires  the US troops to withdraw   from Iraq renewing his country’s rejection of violating its sovereignty.

Abdel Mahdi’s media office issued a statement in which it said that Abdel Madi made a telephone call with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and asked him to send delegates to Iraq to put forward mechanisms to execute the decision of the Iraqi House of Representatives regarding the withdrawal of the US troops from Iraq.

The Iraqi PM stressed during the telephone conversation that the deployment of US forces in Iraq and the flight of US planes over Iraqi airspace without permission runs contrary to the agreements signed between the two countries, noting that his priorities are centered on combatting terrorism, Iraq’s reconstruction, achieving economic growth, protecting Iraq’s sovereignty and realizing security and stability in Iraq and the region.

He concluded ,expressing Iraq’s keenness to maintain best relations with its neighbors and the international community.
