Iraqi Planes Throw Leaflets on Mosul Calling Residents Prepare for Army Operation

A source in Iraq’s Ministry of Interior announced that the Iraqi Air Force’s planes dropped thousands of leaflets on the city of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad), calling the residents to be prepared for the liberation operation of the city by the Iraqi army.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today the Iraqi Air Force planes dropped thousands of leaflets on Tahrir neighborhood, as well as different parts in the left side of Mosul,” Iraqi News reported.

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “The leaflets called the citizens to be prepared for the expulsion of ISIL terrorist members.”

ISIL loots civilian houses West of Anbar to finance members

On the other hand, Haditha District Police in Anbar province announced that ISIL militants looted and robbed the civilians houses in al-Judafiya area West of Anbar to finance its members before escaping the western areas of the province.

The spokesman of Haditha police’s 14th emergency regiment Lieutenant Saud Harb al-Obeidi said in a statement that ISIL members looted and robbed the houses of the civilians in al-Judafiya area in al-Baghdadi vicinity (160 km west of Anbar ), and transferred the loot to Heet and Qaim to sell it at a public auction, Iraqi News reported.

Obeidi added, ISIL seeks to gather financials to finance its members before escaping from the western regions of Anbar to Reqqa and Albu Kamal in Syria,” pointing out that, “ISIL financial sources in Anbar are  almost finished.”
