Iraqi Parliament Calls for Stopping Israeli Violations of Ceasefire in Lebanon

Baghdad, (ST) – First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi called on the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon to pressure the Zionist entity to stop its repeated violations and provocations.

The Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted Al-Mandalawi as saying in a statement: “We call on the countries sponsoring and monitoring the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon to pressure the Zionist entity to stop its repeated violations and provocations before it is too late.”

Al-Mandalawi expressed his deep concern about the occupation’s failure to fulfill its obligations, which threatens to undermine international and regional diplomatic efforts calling for calming the conflict in the region, and also reveals its premeditated criminal intentions towards Lebanon, and its lack of seriousness in ending its aggression.

Al-Mandlawi added: “All countries in the region are concerned today more than ever before in taking the reins to confront this grave danger that has begun to threaten their security and stability, in light of the continuing crimes against the Palestinian people, the entity’s persistence in its aggression against Lebanon, and the activation of the terrorist groups’ card in Syria.”

He called on everyone to cooperate in order to restore security and stability and protect the common national security.
