Iraqi forces: US aggression on a site at the Iraqi-Syrian border is a violation of the country’s sovereignty

Baghdad,(ST)-The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, condemned the US air aggression on a site inside Iraqi territory, stressing that it constitutes a blatant and unacceptable violation of the country’s sovereignty.

Alsumaria News website quoted Rasoul as saying in a statement today that “the American attack, which targeted a site on the Iraqi-Syrian border last night, represents a blatant and unacceptable violation of Iraqi sovereignty and Iraqi national security in accordance with all international conventions.”

Rasool added that Iraq will carry out the necessary investigations, procedures and communications at various levels to prevent such violations.
