Iraqi forces start a military operation against ISIS remnants

The Iraqi forces began  a military operation to cleanse the island of Kanous, in Ninwa  Governorate, north of the  country from remnants of the terrorist organization.

Alsumaria News quoted a statement of the Popular Mobilization Authority as saying that “The Operations Command of Ninwa Sector of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the attached units today began a massive support operation for Iraqi army units to storm and cleanse Kanous Island in Degla River south of Mosul with the support of army’s aviation.”

The joint Iraqi forces continue their operations to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists in  many areas in the country.
