Iraqi forces retake al-Malha area from ISIS, prepares to purge Hit

BAGHDAD, (ST)_ Iraqi forces and popular groups retake al-Malha area in Beiji in Salaheddin province from the ISIS gangs, media sources reported Thursday.

The fresh advance was made a day after the Iraqi air forces struck the ISIS [its Arabic acronym is Daesh] sites in al-Malha area.

On the other hand, the Iraqi Media Network quoted security sources as saying that huge military reinforcements, including 150 artilleries, 100 armored cars plus 1500 volunteers, reached Beiji area north Tikrit to purge the quarters of the Daesh gangs.  

In al-Anbar province, security forces are preparing to purge Hit city of the Daesh terrorists, according to a source at military operation center.

Albo Nemer tribe

The source confirmed the arrival of military reinforcements to the area, indicating that the Iraqi security forces launched military operations to open safe routes to the city in order to storm it.

The military operation center started to arm the Albo Nemer tribe’s fighters and popular groups to recapture the city of Hit.

ISIS terrorists have killed over 500 persons from Albo Nemer tribe, including children and women.

Sleeper cells linked to ISIS in Paris

As for the results of military operations in other areas, it was said that security forces killed 12 terrorists and wounded 12 others during operations in areas north  and south Baghdad.  

On the other hand, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced that it discovered a sleeper cells composed of 200 persons affiliated to the ISIS in Paris.
