Iraqi forces arrest a leader in the terrorist organization ISIS in Nineveh

Baghdad, (ST)- The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday the arrest of a leader of the terrorist organization ISIS in the Nineveh Governorate in the north of the country.

INA reported that the ministry’s spokesman, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement: In cooperation with the intelligence service, one of the terrorist lwaders if ISIS who was in charge of the organization’s mortar detachments was arrested in the Shirqat district in Nineveh Governorate,”

He pointed out that the terrorist was handed over to the judicial authorities to follow up on the procedures against him.

It is noteworthy that during the Iraqi Ministry of Interior’s operations to eliminate the remnants of the terrorist organization since the beginning of this month, the Iraqi security forces arrested 22 terrorists and eliminated 4 other terrorists.
