BAGHDAD, (ST)_ Iraqi foreign minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari discussed on Monday with Syrian ambassador to Iraq Saddam Jadaan al-Dandah Bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq and ways to develop them in confronting the common challenges that faced the two countries and to fight terrorist organizations.
Ambassador al-Dandah delivered an invitation to Al-Jaafari sent from Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem to visit Syria.
According to a statement by Iraqi foreign ministry, Al-Jaafari accepted the invitation and promised to visit Damascus the soonest.
Meanwhile, ambassador Al-Dandah, in a statement to SANA, said that “Iraq and Syria are facing common challenges targeting Stability and unity of people of the two countries.”
Al-Dandah affirmed the importance of consultations and coordination between the two countries in these critical moments in the history of the region that suffers takfiri terrorist attacks.
