Iraqi Fallujah Liberated from Daesh Terrorists

Iraqi forces have liberated key areas in Fallujah from Daesh terrorists, raising the national flag of the country over the government buildings, IRNA reported.

The Iraqi Prime Minister Heidar al-Ebadi was informed on Friday about the liberation of the former Daesh stronghold in a joint letter communicated to him by the head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (al-Hashd al-Shaabi) Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, Secretary General of the Badr Organization Hadi Al-Ameri as well as the Commander of the Fallujah Operation Abdulwahab al-Saedi.

The Iraqi forces are advancing toward the center of the city, reports suggest.

Al-Saedi in a statement released on Friday anounced that the government buildings in central Fallujah have been liberated and Iraqi flag have been raised over them.

The Iraq Federal Police (IFP) has also announced that they are moving towards Baghdad Street and the Fallujah governorship building.

Hay Nazal and Andalus, al-Maghbarah and al-Sarai are the key regions in Fallujah that have been liberated in recent operations.

Iraqi armed forces are still battling with the Daesh elements in various parts of Fallujah.
