Iraqi Army confiscated a car Loaded with Weapon for Terrorists in Syria

BAGHDAD, (ST)_ Iraqi joint forces carried out large-scale military operation on Monday in the Iraqi areas adjacent to Syrian borders to hunt down al-Qaeda terrorist gangs, resulted in arresting dozens of terrorists and their equipment and weapons while a car loaded with weapons prepared for smuggling to terrorist groups in Syria, was confiscated.

An Iraqi security source asked to be anonymous said that : “Joint forces of the Federal Police, and army unit 27th backed by helicopters raided areas in Anbar and Ninewa ,” pointing out that al Qaeda terrorist resorted to the desert to escape the successive blows of the Iraqi army.

The source explained that operation resulted in the arrest of 42 terrorists, weapons control and hardware included numbers of machine guns, bombs and improvised explosive devices belts .
