Iraqi Armed Forces: The crime committed by US forces in Babylon is a serious transgression

Baghdad, (ST) – The official spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool affirmed on Wednesday that the crime committed by the US forces by bombing sites belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces north of Babylon Governorate yesterday is a serious transgression that threatens the security efforts to eliminate the terrorists of the ISIS organization.

The Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted Rasool as saying in a statement today: The martyrdom of a number of our security forces and the wounding of a number of others without any justification for this reckless and irresponsible aggressive act is a serious transgression with uncalculated consequences by the international coalition forces. He warned against dragging Iraq and the entire region into conflicts, wars and dangerous repercussions.

Rasool held the international coalition forces fully responsible for the repercussions of this issue after they carried out this brutal aggression.

He indicated that Iraq will take the appropriate legal and diplomatic measures to preserve its rights, and everything that would confirm its security and sovereignty over its lands and all what would ensure holding those responsible for the attack accountable.
