Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed the need to unify the capabilities of Turkey, Syria and Iraq to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.
He said during a press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein: “We in Turkey, Syria and Iraq must combine all our capabilities and join efforts to eliminate terrorism.”
In turn, Hussein stressed his country’s continuous communication with the new Syrian administration to combat terrorism, stressing that there are wide areas for joint work with Turkey economically and politically, especially on how to deal with the situation in Syria.
He added “we discussed with Turkey mechanisms for cooperation in the security situation on the Iraqi-Syrian border”.
“We also focused on the general situation in the region and on coordination in upcoming meetings on security and economic issues.
