Iraq, Sultanate of Oman call for intensifying efforts to end the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Baghdad and Muscat,( ST) – The Iraqi Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to compel the Israeli occupation forces to end their aggression on Gaza Strip immediately, in order to enable the treatment of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency today the statements issued by the Israeli occupation authorities, which aim to obstruct efforts to cease fire in Gaza Strip, with the aim of continuing the serious violations practiced by the occupation forces against the Palestinians.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry also affirmed Iraq’s full solidarity with Egypt in confronting the occupation’s false allegations, and rejecting the Israeli entity’s attempts to falsify facts and mislead the international community through lies related to the border strip between Gaza Strip and Egypt, which portends a dangerous escalation of the situation in the region.

In the same context, the Sultanate of Oman warned of the consequences of the Israeli entity’s provocative attempts aimed at undermining mediation efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip that would end the suffering of the Palestinian people, enable them to exercise all their legitimate rights and establish their independent state.

In a similar statement, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s solidarity and full support for sisterly Egypt in rejecting and condemning the statements of the Israeli occupation government regarding the borders with Gaza Strip.
